Social security declarations and payments for the self-employed
SSI's updated information reminds us about the earnings declaration and monthly payment schedule of self-employed people.
In the SSI statement, it is stated that the earnings declared between the lower and upper limits of self-employed people are taken as basis in calculating the premiums. Earnings declaration can be made through the institution or via e-Government.
According to the general payment rule, the monthly premium is paid until the end of the month following the month to which it belongs. While there is a discount opportunity for insured people who pay their premiums regularly and meet other conditions, optionally insured people and elected village or neighbourhood heads (muhtars) are evaluated separately in terms of this discount.
Company partners and self-employed people should not rely solely on the existence of bank instructions; Regular comparison of accrual, payment and debt status is useful. Personal insurance status and special period arrangements, if any, should also be checked.
